About the 2000
A single-engine delta-wing fighter renowned for its agility and precision strike ability. Upgraded to Mirage 2000-5 Mk2 standard with new avionics, radar, and Mica missiles.
History
Service history
Inducted in 1985 as the 'Vajra'. Played a decisive role in Kargil (1999) using laser-guided bombs at high altitude, and again in the 2019 Balakot airstrike deep inside Pakistani territory.
